Abstract :
In recent times, cooperative routing is used as an energy efficient protocol in wireless multi-hop networks. In this paper we discuss the various methods proposed in earlier works and suggest developments on the problems identified. The proposed algorithm identifies energy inefficient nodes in a broadcast path and replaces it with a node that increases the energy efficiency keeping hop count constant. Results from simulation experiments show improvements over recent developments in cooperatively routed broadcast trees.
