Abstract :
In this paper, a micro strip patch antenna has been presented displaying the ability to function in dual frequency. The proposed antenna is designed using one rectangular main microstrip patch and two slotted patches, which are connected to the main rectangular patch. This paper aims on operating the conventional microstrip rectangular patch antenna with dual frequency by etching multiple slots on the patch. The antenna is designed to operate at dual operating frequency of 2.39GHz~3.15GHz and can be used for IOT (Internet of Things) applications. The measured gain of antenna without the connecting patches is 4.4dB but it increased to 5.01dB when it is connected with the slotted patches. The antenna is implemented using RT-duroid 5880 dielectric substrate. Ansoft HFSS is used to simulate the output. The results were analyzed and discussed in terms of return loss, radiation pattern and gain.
