Abstract :
Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) has recently become an attractive area of research in the wireless networking. The mobility model is considered one of the most critical issues in a simulation of VANET, which can create realistic moving behavior of each vehicle in the network. Thus, the mobility model play a vital role in determining the performance of VANET system. This paper will tackle five types of mobility models, proposed in the recent research literature, based on the Impulse Radio Ultra wide-Band (IR-UWB) technology to enable communication between vehicles and evaluate their impact on packet delivery carried out in OMNeT++ simulator.
