  • Abstract
Big Data systems have significantly changed the possibilities and ways of data processing and analysis. Although many practitioners and scholars have written about the benefits of Big Data systems, little research has been conducted on how to succeed with the use of Big Data. The implementation of Big Data systems is a complex undertaking that requires a new technological and organizational approach. This paper seeks to identify the factors that may impact the success of implementing a Big Data system. The factors are identified based on the content review and analysis of industry and academic publications. We identified 21 implementation factors grouped into eight main categories.
