A Java-based knowledge mapping model

Knowledge mapping is increasingly applied in discipline dynamics and management analysis about decision-making. Our study developed a knowledge mapping model based on Java, which can analyze keywords from articles. Using this model, an analysis case in forest fire was conducted. At the same time, another analysis based on CiteSpace, which is a bibliometric tool, was carried out. These two analysis result were compared. The comparison of results may be applied in planning and managing research, and it may be helpful to research partners as a reference.
