Abstract
Multi-granularity transport networks as the core of backbone transmission attract widespread attention with its significant advantages of high bandwidth and energy-saving. Nevertheless, due to the growing of users´ demand on bandwidth and the tight situation of global power resources, we need to further improve the capacity and the performance of the data transmission system. In this paper, we propose a game-theory based energy-saving algorithm for multi-granularity transport networks, which can reduce the bandwidth blocking probability and power consumption. We evaluate our algorithm on the topologies of EON. Simulation results show that the algorithm is feasible and effective.
