Abstract :
The Shaft-rate electric field(EF) signal of ship in seawater can be modeled by a time-harmonic horizontal electric dipole (BED) of extremely low frequency. Here, we describe a localization method base on EF. In the shallow sea, EF at two fixed field points produced by the dipole moving was simulated as measurement data. This paper presents optimal localization algorithm based on Kalman Filter. The emulative computation is given to demonstrate that the optimal localization algorithm has an extremely high accuracy.
