  • Abstract
    This paper discussed an improved structure of a hybrid excitation brushless claw-pole alternator (HEBCA). The alternator flux regulation and operation performance is simulated based on 3-D FEM. Finally, a series of experimental tests carried out on a prototype are made to verify flexible control of the flux as well as machine power production capability.
