Abstract :
To solve the disadvantages of the permanent magnet synchronous generator, this paper discusses a brushless synchronous generator combining induced excitation and permanent magnet. The structure and principle of the machine are introduced in detail and the finite element model is analyzed. We can get the no-load characteristics and external characteristics by 2D finite element method. The simulation results demonstrate it owns the advantages of high efficiency of permanent magnet machine and adjustable magnetic field of electric excitation machine. In addition, because of its brushless excitation scheme, the machine has a simple structure and other characteristics.
