Abstract
The paper presents a novel approach to 3 phase, 5-hp induction motor for current feature analysis on applications of wavelet packet decomposition (WPD) of the stator current. The transient stability analysis of multimachine hybrid power system supplied from synchronous generator and induction motor by application. The characterization of transients resulting from faults on loading of the motor protection using wavelet packet transform (WPT). The WPT is employed to extract certain features of the differential current to distinguish between the magnetizing inrush and different internal fault currents. The results show that the proposed technique is able to different faults and inrush current conditions are conducted and to offer fast responses in a protection scheme. This results will be useful for developing the design, protection load specification.
