Abstract
Energy router is defined and developed along with the new concept of energy internet. This paper presents an AC-DC hybrid multi-port energy router for power distribution networks, which consists of high voltage AC port, low voltage AC port and low voltage DC port. Based on the description of its circuit topology and control strategy, the design of the main parameters is analyzed in details. The relationship between the key performance of the energy router and the changing of these parameters is illustrated by the simulation. Finally, the design and performance are verified by the experiments on an actual prototype of the energy router.
