Abstract
In this paper Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor drive under space vector modulation is considered as a discrete event system. A modification of Park´s transformation yields quadrature voltage in terms of discrete and continuous parameters which are used to derive a model for torque and flux in closed form. Based on this, a new internal model control scheme for the speed control of Permanent magnet synchronous motor is proposed. Simulation and hardware implementation results provide a favourable comparison of the proposed control scheme over the conventional direct torque control approach.
