Abstract :
This paper proposes a fuzzy control strategy to reduce the wind power fluctuations and improve the system reliability. The control strategy aims at controlling charging and discharging energy storage process based on wind power and load changes. What´s more, the original strategy is optimized by intervening in battery charging and discharging to manage State of Charge (SOC) of battery. The strategy has been applied to a test system named IEEE RTS79, and the simulation results validate the effect of this strategy. Compared with the original result, longer life of battery and SOC are verified.
