Abstract
Plug-in Electric Vehicles (PEVs) have become more and more popular and make our life more convenient. But it also brings us some trouble. Because of the insufficient power capacity of the distribution feeders, excessive load may break down the whole system. For that reason, it is crucial for us to limit the amount of power through each distribution feeder. In this paper we design a distributed charging algorithm for PEVs based on potential game theory with feeder overload constraint. Under this model, the system can avoid distribution feeder overload and minimize the overall variance of load at the same time. Simulation examples are used to show the results of our charging algorithms.
