Abstract :
The combined application of transformer economic operation and inrush current restraining technology is proposed in this paper to minimize negative impacts of the inrush current on the transformer and the electric power system during transformer economic operation. The principle of the generation of magnetizing inrush current is discussed, then phase selection switching technology is analyzed which can inhibit the inrush effectively and is proved to be applicable to the inrush current restraining of three-phase transformer. Finally, a prototype is introduced and dynamic simulation experiment is carried out. The experiment result shows that this method is feasible and effective.
