  • Abstract
The bearingless machines with permanent magnet fixed on rotor have some disadvantages, such as permanent magnet demagnetization risk for temperature rising. So research on bearingless winding structure and suspension force of flux-switching machine with permanent magnet inserted in stator is conducted in this paper. Based on the principle of reverse direction magnetization for symmetrical rotor teeth, the suspension force is developed by a set of stator winding. The suspension force mathematical model is proposed after analyzing the form and features of rotor Maxwell force. The results of finite element analysis show that the rotor suspension force is almost determined by the Maxwell force from the overlap regions of stator and rotor teeth, and the rotor can be suspended by the proposed suspension structure and force mathematical model.
