Abstract :
The fault tolerant flux switching permanent magnet motor (FTFSPM) has the advantages of high torque density and high reliability, it is suitable for the all electric/more electric aircraft power system. The control algorithm should achieve the quick control of both electromagnetic torque and speed under normal condition or fault condition. The direct torque control (DTC) strategy can improve the dynamic performance of electromagnetic torque, however, the dynamic performance of speed is affected by the PI parameters of the speed loop. Therefore, torque impulse balance control is studied in this paper, where the response time of forward vector and backward vector are calculated during the dynamic process, and the speed achieves the convergence by only increasing and decreasing once, which will not be impacted by the PI parameters, thus the dynamic performance of the speed can be improved. The torque impulse balance control and the traditional DTC strategy are compared by simulation. The results illustrate the validity and effectiveness of the torque impulse balance control under the condition of one phase open-circuit fault.
