Abstract :
Electric vehicles are meanwhile a real alternative to internal combustion engine -driven vehicles. The current capacity of the accumulator enables today an appropriable use of electric vehicles, especially within urban areas. A use for long distances or high daily range can be realised by a range extender or by recharging at quick charging stations. Therefore the development of an infrastructure for high power charging at places with public access like motorway service stations express a main precondition for a wide utilization of electric vehicles. A large scale installation of quick charging stations in these areas is restricted in most of cases by a weak power supply infrastructure. In this paper different concepts for an integration of quick charging stations in power supply systems of weak infrastructure areas are investigated and compared.
