Abstract
Topology processing is a vital function of a power system state estimator. Detection, identification, and processing of the topology error are pre-requisites for successful execution of the state estimator. The conventional measurement residual based topology error processing methods may fail under certain measurement configurations and system topologies. This paper proposes an optimization based technique for topology error detection of power systems in presence of hybrid measurements. The proposed technique is successfully implemented on a number of test systems.
