Abstract
Binocular stereo vision calibration is a hot research issue in the field of computer vision. In this paper, by means of 2D planar checkerboard calibration plate, essential matrix combined with calibration method of Zhang Zhengyou is used for a stereo vision calibration experiment. Firstly, corners of checkerboard is extracted by Harris algorithm. Calibration method of Zhang Zhengyou is used to calculate internal parameters based on corners. Secondly, features are extracted between image pairs. Finally, external parameter of camera is calibrated by essential matrix. Experimental results show that the method is effective and it can be used for binocular stereo vision calibration.
