Abstract :
Modern information systems are mainly supported by the vast usage of complicated computer applications. How can those systems guarantee their integrity and accuracy? Are they capable of preventing a possible disaster? The aim of this paper is to study the dangers that threaten to destroy a digitalized information system. Firstly, the structure of the modern western business and military organizations is presented. The lack of security and the dangers that face during their operation is analyzed. In addition, we try to analyze the potential risk that a digitalized business operation has, supported by electronic means and the lack of methods of minimizing the danger. The main purpose is to avoid collapse, by simulating catastrophe scenarios, where central points of destruction are highlighted.
