On behalf of all organizers, we would like to welcome you to the 15th IEEE International Conference on Nanotechnology (IEEE NANO 2015). This year the conference is taking a journey to Rome, the Eternal City, following the successful conferences held in Maui (2001), Washington D.C. (2002), S. Francisco (2003), Munich (2004), Nagoya (2005), Cincinnati (2006), Hong Kong (2007), Arlington (2008), Genoa (2009), Seoul (2010), Portland (2011), Birmingham (2012), Beijing (2013) and Toronto (2014). The conference is sponsored by the Nanotechnology Council, which was officially formed in 2002 and has since then brought forwards the nanotechnology activities of IEEE and has constituted a most important focus for the nanotechnology community worldwide
