Abstract :
One of the system for carbon nanotubes synthesis is an arc discharge reactor. In the arc discharge graphite rods are used as a source of carbon for carbon nanotubes formation. The synthesis under reduced pressure leads to the growth of containing carbon nanotubes deposit. In case of application of additional catalyst it is possible to obtain ferromagnetic nanoparticles. In this paper arc discharge system for ferromagnetic carbon nanotubes is presented and some potential applications are described.
