Abstract
Contact dermatitis produced by Nickel can be found in adults and elders as in children. Our study included a number of 36 children that came for clinical manifestations of contact dermatitis. The diagnosis was sustained on the base of: case history, clinical examination and the eliminatory test lead to confirmation. Nickel sensitization mentioned in the anamnesis data and in the clinical examination was confirmed by cutaneous Nickel patch tests. We mention the importance of the hereditary factor, children being atopical in percentage of 80%. Avoiding Nickel contact along with antiallergic and immunomulator treatment have led to the improvement of manifestations. Nickel is a frequent cause of allergy. Our study has confirmed the good response of contact dermatitis to the removal of the causing factor and specific antiallergic treatment. Education of the family and child is necessary.
