Abstract :
Due to the limited field of view of Doppler´s prop, the physician can examine only small parts of the whole operating field from artery/vein at once. The exams results will be a large number of videos or images, which means visual control for the long regions is difficult, and the diagnoses of some diseases like arteriosclerosis are not easy and not accurate. A panoramic image which covers a larger field of view can overcome this difficulty. In this research, we present a new approach which is capable of stitching the linear transducer Doppler videos or images to obtain a panoramic image for the long artery/vein. This procedure is based on designing an interface to insert and process the useful images and determining the coordinates of artery edges and center, by using a designed program in Visual Basic language.
