Abstract :
Depth-Image-Based Rendering (DIBR) is an effective 3D image generation method. It has been widely used by virtue of its low bandwidth requirements and depth adjustment capability. However, the development of an effective copyright protection scheme of DIBR images remains a challenging task. Digital watermarking has been applied with a great success in recent years to provide copyright protection for 2D digital images. In this paper we extend the 2D image watermarking technology and propose an effective hybrid transform based 3D DIBR watermarking scheme. The scheme embeds the watermark information in the DIBR views while keeping a high degree of visual quality. The experimental results demonstrate the imperceptibility and robustness of the proposed scheme.
