Abstract :
The main aim of my doctoral research is to gather a comprehensive set of well-accepted consistency rules for UML diagrams that can be found in the literature. The main goal of this paper will be to present the actual validation plan of the gathered UML consistency rules. This research will provide to the academic and industrial communities a new and extensive base of knowledge about UML consistency rules, which is important to the rigorous use of UML. Therefore, it will represent a sound source for all the researchers and designers involved in UML-based software development.
