Abstract :
State-space average value modeling of dc-dc converters in continuous and discontinuous modes have been conferred remarkable recognition in the literature. This paper presents different aspects of averaged value modeling of flyback converter operating in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). Moreover, a second order sliding mode controller is designed and analyzed for flyback converter. The advantages of second order sliding mode controller is that it reduces the chattering effect of conventional first-order sliding mode controller. The performance of the designed controller is evaluated using MATLAB/Simulink simulation under different loading conditions.
