  • Abstract
Electric vehicles (EVs) can help to decrease the emissions in the transport sector, especially in combination with an increase of renewable energies. However, for most of the people the comparably small range of EVs is still an obstacle concerning buying an EV. In this paper a project with a fleet test in the Ruhr-Area of Germany dealing with technologies for long distance electromobility is introduced. EVs with DC high power charging capability and EVs with range extender are compared and evaluated with regard to energy demand and acceptance. An extract of the project results is presented.
