Abstract :
Summary form only given. Datacenter computing is one of the fastest growing FPGA end-markets, with predictions that one in three cloud compute nodes will leverage FPGAs by the year 2020. This talk presents a vision for efficient datacenter computing with FPGAs, and explores three key enabling technologies. First, highly pipelined FPGA architectures enable power-efficient computation. Second, high-level design compilers enable the use of software languages and a software-developer driven ecosystem. Finally, a robust FPGA virtualization framework enables higher workload densities and greater efficiency on FPGA hardware.
