Abstract
This paper proposes a novel auto-calibration technique for pre-calibrated sensor gain/phase (complex gain) perturbations by joint estimation. The technique exploits the symmetry property of antenna arrays, and is practically realizable. An iterative formula together with an alternating iterative procedure is presented to estimate the sensor complex gains. The uniqueness condition is investigated and the Cramer-Rao lower bound for DOA estimation is given. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the technique.
