Abstract
The paper presents the developed drive system with a brushless DC (BLDC) motor, for which laboratory tests have been performed. Research has been carried out for two speed control methods: using an inverter (by pulse width modulation) and controlling the voltage value applied to the converter. Laboratory tests of the drive system have been performed on the developed research stand. Waveforms of electrical and mechanical quantities as well as operating parameters of the drive system have been measured and compared for both ways of speed control.
