Abstract :
This paper presents a new method for estimation of the heat transfer coefficient from the motor housing, with application to a synchronous machine with permanent magnets (PMSM). Sensitivity of a thermal model of the motor to the measurement uncertainties in the estimated coefficient is effectively analysed. In order to validate correctness of the calculation results, measurements on the physical model of the machine are carried out.
