Abstract :
This paper presents results of analysis of inrush current phenomenon with regards to transformers with windings made of superconducting materials. The analysis focused on the impact of the form of the superconductor transition characteristic from the superconducting to the resistive state on the current pulse wave. Moreover, a formula was derived for dependence of inrush current peak value of superconducting transformers. The impact of modification of arguments in the equation on inrush current peak value was analysed and corresponding characteristics were drawn.
