Abstract
This paper introduces a novel model for channel state information (CSI) self-correcting 4×4 multiple input multiple output (MIMO) visible light communications (VLC) based on the triangulation method and the knowledge of the previous receiver positions. The proposed model can fully work under the partially incomplete CSI matrix of MIMO VLC system due to the user´s mobility or shadowing in an indoor environment. In this work we propose the full CSI estimation based on at least two available CSIs, thus ensuring the full operation of 4×4 MIMO VLC system in the case of two other channels are missing. The paper uses a novel adaptive model that utilises the triangulation method based on two available CSIs together with the knowledge of previous position(s) of the receiver to estimate the current position of the receiver. Theoretical model and proof-of-concept simulations are presented.
