Abstract :
In this paper, a systematic and efficient method to analyze nonlinear circuits which have three-terminal nonlinear elements like transistors (JFET, MOSFET, or BJT) is presented. Large-signal and small-signal analysis of nonlinear circuits containing these elements are achieved. The nonlinear circuits have non-algebraic equations. The solutions of these equations are based on an algorithm called Newton-Raphson algorithm. The method allows computer-aided analysis of nonlinear circuits to be realized efficiently. One illustrative example is included in the study.
