  • Abstract
    This paper proposes an automatic program detection system that uses two advanced technologies, namely metadata service and image and sound identification, to interact with television (TV) viewers. Through this system, viewers are informed in three modes of the commencement of TV programs of their interest. During TV advertisements, the viewer can use the three modes to enhance time management. The proposed system substantially improves the TV-viewing experience.
