Abstract :
Maka Dai Shogi is one of large-board variants of Shogi games, which appears to have been invented during the Heian period. It was played on a 19×19 board with 96 pieces each. Unfortunately, there are little references of large Shogi variants, but we could find enough information of Maka Dai Shogi in some descriptions of them to play the game. As it is difficult for beginners to play it, we have developed computer Maka Dai Shogi as a support tool.
