Abstract :
The curved surface micro-lens can be able to make a certain reflective area in the incident index, hence it is can be applied into the field of the infrared laser safety. Based on the optical design, the period of the microstructure is 3mm, its thickness is 8mm, and the height of the microstructure unit is 0.3mm. A special liner grating is used in this design. It can help the curved surface micro-lens to amend the direction of the emergent light. The period of the grating is 0.1mm. In this paper, it is mainly describe the fabrication of the micro-lens. The single point diamond turning technology is used to manufacture the mold of the micro-lens, as well as the injection molding is utilized to make the ultima micro-lens. However, there are some surface contour errors through comparing the practical measured values with the theoretical design value for the curved surface. Through analyzing, it is deduced that the relative vibration between the tool and has crucial deep effect on the surface contour errors. Therefore the element can prevent people from the laser damage.
