Abstract :
The photoelectric property of co-planar Au/CdZnTe radiation detectors has been simulated by Silvaco TCAD tools. The electrode geometry including the electrode width and spacing are studied by their effects on quantum efficiency and transient response. The best electrode spacing for co-planar Au/CdZnTe detectors is 0.1 mm for 0.1mm electrode width, and 0.5 mm for 1mm electrode width.
