Abstract
The paper is devoted to numerical analysis of actuators and actuator systems with large displacement of armature. Dependence of force of armature displacement is strongly non-linear function. The system described and analysed in the paper is designed for large displacements of armature keeping force with reduced range of changes. Presented in the paper cascade system of actuators is only an example of actuator solution and it can be used in broad range of applications, including majority of applications in electrical drives. The results presented in the paper has been obtained by numerical modelling. ANSYS commercial software has been used as a tool for modelling. Classical Mechanical interfaces and APDL language allows comparative analysis of actuators. Presented results reflect static operation of actuators. It means operation at supplying by DC current and small frequency of actuator switching.
