Abstract :
Based on the geometry-based elliptical and circular scattering models, the auto correlation functions (ACFs) and Doppler power spectrum densities (PSDs) are derived and simulated in vehicle -to-vehicle (V2V) outdoor scenarios where the scatterers are moving in arbitrary directions with random velocities. The velocity distributions are assumed to follow exponential and mixed Gaussian for low- and high-speed scatterers, respectively. It is shown that the scatterer distributions affect the ACFs and PSDs significantly when the transceiver vehicles move relatively fast compared to the mean velocity of the scatterers. However, the distribution of scatterers is not so critical when the mean velocity of the scatterers is relatively fast than the vehicle speed at transceiver. The comparisons of the PSDs derived by the elliptical and circular scattering models as well as the model in [13] are performed and their differences are shown in this paper.
