Abstract :
This paper presents the design, assembly and the performance evaluation, of speed control system for a scale vehicle. The work shows the analytic and experimental development for an educational project implemented to facilitate learning of topics covered in areas such as control and communications, for a control course in Electronics Engineering. The authors design a control and monitoring system for speed and position variables in the vehicle using android platform. The environment development in android allows the user can control the car speed. The digital control algorithm is implemented in a Arduino Nano microcontroller. The vehicle is equipped with an optical encoder sensor for speed measurement and the communication is done via Bluetooth 3.0 protocol.
