Abstract
The Switched Reluctance Machines (SRM) has been research object for several years due advantages such as reliability, low cost, independence of machine phases and possibility of operation at high speeds. The design of the SRM and its power converter, can result in a higher efficiency to the corresponding induction machine operating at variable speed, the advantage that the Reluctance Motor and its drive are simpler in construction terms. However, some parameters influence machine efficiency, such as load torque, excitation of phases and firing angles applied to the machine power converter. In this paper, different control actions such as PI and Fuzzy controllers are implemented on simulation in order to observe which strategy provides best efficiency behavior.
