Abstract
Spectral subtraction is widely used in the speech enhancement, and has been shown to play a good role. Firstly, in this paper the advantages and disadvantages of spectral subtraction are analyzed. And then the characteristics of heart sound are analyzed, an improved method based on spectral subtraction is proposed and it is applied in the enhancement of heart sound. Through analysis of simulation results, the method can effectively suppress noise and improve heart sound. So this method can play a good role in heart sound enhancement.
