Abstract :
In biometric recognition, features extraction is extremely important part. Features extraction is used for the selection process of the most influential features in biometric recognition system. Similarly, the introduction of biometric palm vein image based on where the extraction is done to the veins. In this paper, the writer proposes palm vein features extraction method for biometric recognition process. Two dimensional discrete Fourier transform used to convert the image into the frequency domain and filtered by using log- Gabor before it is extracted using the phase symmetry. From 6 sample of palm vein image being tested, the rate of mean absolute percentage error was 2.6%.
