Abstract :
The new instrument bus LXI has broad prospects for development. LXI-Serial communication Adapter plays an important role in Hybrid Test Systems based on LXI as it connects serial devices with LXI-Bus instruments. This paper gives a design of LXI-Serial communication Adapter based on ARM and FPGA and discusses the details of embedded software and FPGA logic. LXI-Serial Adapter, which provides seamless connectivity between the serial interface instruments and the LXI test system, should be conformed to the LXI Standard and the serial communication protocol. On the basis of thoroughly analyzing about specifications of LXI Standard, network and serial communication specifications, this scheme of this module is brought forward according to the domestic application needs. The actual test indicates that the communication between serial devices and LXI-Bus instruments can be achieved securely.
