Abstract
A model of compression combustion noise is set up to simulate combustion waves from chamber, which is validated at test bench. The major Influence factors of combustion waves are optimized and proved at test bench and in the anechoic chamber. Test result shows that injection control strategy including multi-injection, single pilot injection and double pilot has remarkable influence on compression combustion noise. After optimization of multi-injection strategy coupled control with inlet valve, EGR and turbocharger throughout range of velocity and load, abrupt noise is reduced, speech articulation increases by 7 percent, and vehicle sound quality is improved. Furthermore, significant level of air amount is highest, while opening degree is decreased from 30% to 15%, combustion noise reduced obviously, and noise level in the vehicle tested at anechoic chamber reduced by 2.0dB.
