Abstract
A new technique for the ultrasonic wind speed measurement is presented in this paper. This technique measures the start and end time for the received signal to be detected on a given threshold and calculates the delay based on a polygon approximation for the signal envelope. This technique needs a small count of computation and has a good accuracy and a wide dynamic band.
