Abstract :
The development of well logging techniques has made it necessary to transfer tremendous data of earth formations penetrated by well bores. However, the effective bandwidth of 7000 meters cable has only reached 100Kb along with great frequency and phase shifts. To achieve reliable communication during the doubly fading channel in time and frequency, it is common to counterbalance the negative effect with frequency domain equalization (FEQ). In this paper, we suggest a combined frequency domain scheme with FEQ and adaptive Trellis Code Modulation (TCM). Both of the two processes are employed in frequency domain and based on the same set of artificial aided data.
